West Torrance High School senior Nicole Nitake signed a letter of intent Friday (above), to attend The Master’s College in Santa Clarita on a full, four-year basketball scholarship. Nitake, who was named co-most valuable player in the Bay League for 2012 and earned all CIF honors, was also included on the Daily Breeze All-Area second team.
Nitake helped the West Warriors advance to the post season this year, averaging just over 13 points per game. She was ranked 44th out of all California girls by Max Preps.
On hand for the signing were, back from left: brothers Paul and Mark Nitake, Master’s coach Dan Waldeck, West coach Mike Caporaso; front row: Nicole with her parents Michael Nitake and Christine King-Nitake.
