Funeral services for Akiko Grace Mayeno, 76-year-old Wakayama-ken born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on July 17 at her residence, were held on Friday, July 27, at Zenshuji Soto Mission.
She is survived by her husband, Kuniyoshi Steve Mayeno; sons, Steven Hideki, Arthur Nobuyoshi, Kenneth Yutaka, John Kunio (Mieko) Mayeno; brother, Mamoru (Setsuko) Sakyo of Japan; sisters, Mitsuko (Tatsuro) Ogura, Yoko (Masami) Taniguchi, Sachiko (Noboru) Narita, all of Japan; three nephews; ten nieces; other relatives here and in Japan.
