NORWALK — The Southeast Japanese School and Community Center, 14615 Gridley Rd., Norwalk, will hold its 49th annual Cultural Festival and Ondo on Saturday, July 28, from 3 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 29, from 2 to 8 p.m.
The event will feature games, food, entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, cultural arts displays, and crafts. The schedule is as follows:
Saturday
3 p.m. — Festival begins
3:30 p.m. — Karate demonstration
4 p.m. — Kendo demonstration
5 p.m. — Bingo games begin; karaoke performance (outside)
5:30 p.m. — Judo demonstration (dojo)
6 p.m. — Hikari Taiko performance
7 p.m. — Ondo dancing
Sunday
2 p.m. — Festival begins
3:30 p.m. — Japanese classical dance
4 p.m. — Hawaiian dance performance
4:30 p.m. — Karaoke performance (outdoors)
5 p.m. — Bingo games begin
5:30 p.m. — Hikari Taiko performance
6:30 p.m. — Ondo dancing
7:30 p.m. — Raffle drawing
Dance practice is being held Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
