Lillie Yuriko Shimasaki, born in Fresno, CA in 1917, passed away peacefully in her sleep at age 95 on July 6, 2012, in Los Angeles, CA.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Katsuhiko (Mabel Keiko) Shimasaki, Steven Kunihiko (Yoshiko) Shimasaki; daughters, Teruko (Hironori) Kitahara, Noriyo (Hiroshi) Kuwabara; grandchildren, Nolan Makoto, David Yutaka, Trina Kaori Shimasaki, Rumi Janice, Kazuhiko Alan (Sayuri) Shimasaki, Keiichi (Naomi) Kitahara, Fumiko (Simon) Otto, Hiroko (Michael) Domes, Audrey Mari Kuwabara, Denise Yumi (Derick) Yee; great-grandchildren, Caleb Gailen, Joel Megumu, Kendall Yuriko, Tate Ichiro, Max Kaito, Evan Akio, Lauren Aiko; brother-in-law, Ted Omachi; sister-in-law, KunikaWatanabe. She is also survived by many other relatives.
A private family funeral service was held Saturday, July 14, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Reverend Fumiaki Usuki from West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple officiating.
