ANAHEIM — Orange County Buddhist Church’s annual Obon Festival will take place Saturday, July 21, from 2 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, July 22, from 2 to 8:30 p.m.

The popular event will feature sushi, chow mein, udon, oden, beef and chicken teriyaki, won ton, dango, dango dogs, chicken salad, Imagawa yaki, ika, Spam musubi, snow cones, teriburgers (beef and chicken), corn and more. Take-out is available.

Stop by the boutique to see handcrafted items, taste homemade desserts, and have an iced coffee or boba drink. There will also be games and prizes for the children.

An “Introduction to Buddhism” discussion will be given in the Hondo on Saturday and Sunday from 5 to 6 p.m.

OCBC’s own Daion Taiko will perform both days at 6:30 p.m.

The Obon dance will be held Saturday and Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The last chance to practice is on Wednesday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m., but all interested individuals are invited to join in whether they have had lessons or not.
