Family service for Paul Kazuo Yano, 92, a Nisei veteran of WWII, who passed away on July 22 in Los Angeles, was held on Friday, July 27, at Fukui Mortuary, “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rev. Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Ukie; son, Steven (Susan) Yano; daughters, Christine (Harry) Gunther and Leslie (Elie) Maeda; grandchildren, Sheri and Stephanie Yano, Aaron Gunther and Lindsey and Robert Maeda; brothers, Sam and Masa Yano; sister, Frances Sugai; and many nieces and nephews.
