PASADENA — The Pacific Asia Museum will present artist Gajin Fujita in conversation with curator Bridget Bray on his work, particularly that in the exhibition “Gajin Fujita: Ukiyo-e in Contemporary Painting,” on Sunday, Aug. 5, at 2 p.m.

Gajin Fujita (born 1972) is a Japanese American artist whose work combines elements of traditional Japanese ukiyo-e art with contemporary American street art and Pop art, among other influences. His exhibition runs until Oct. 7.
In other museum news, Sunday, Aug. 12, is the final day to see the special exhibition “Masterpieces of Tsukioka Yoshitoshi,” featuring works by one of the most important Japanese print artists of the late 19th century.
