SAN JOSE — Six-time Grammy winner Daniel Ho and Jason Arimoto will give a benefit concert for Yu-Ai Kai Senior Center on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 4 p.m. at Yu-Ai Kai, 588 N. 4th St. in San Jose Japantown.

The event is sponsored by Smiley and Janet Kai of Ukulele Source, along with Ukulele Creations and Daniel Ho Creations.

Tickets, which are available at Yu-Ai Kai and at Ukulele Source, 599 N. 5th St., are $20 general, $15 for Yu-Ai Kai Senior Club members and seniors 60-plus with ID. For more information, call Yu-Ai Kai at (408) 294-2505.

Ho and Arimoto will also do a workshop from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Yu-Ai Kai. Just in time for the holidays, they will teach “Pachalbel’s Canon.” The cost is $25 for the workshop or $40 for both the workshop and the concert. For more information, call Ukulele Source at (408) 998-2640.

Ho and Tia Carrere won the Grammy for best Hawaiian album in 2009 for “’Ikena” and and in 2011 for “Huana Ke Aloha,” and were nominated in 2010 for “He Nani.” Ho was nominated in the same category last year for “Polani” and for best pop instrumental album his year for “E Kahe Malie.”
