REDONDO BEACH – Yogurtland South Bay announces the continuation of the successful You Rule Program, a unique program that allows coaches, teachers, and school officials to reward students at no cost.
The Back to School, Back to Cool, You Rule Program has been approved by the South Bay school districts and includes over 100 participating schools.
The program awards local students for good behavior and runs from October to Jan. 7. Students who are rewarded can redeem their certificates to receive five ounces of yogurt and toppings only at Yogurtland South Bay stores.
This year teachers will also be recognized. Student, faculty, and parents can acknowledge their favorite teacher by simply posting a great story about them on their Facebook page.
“We developed the ‘You Rule’ program as a way to give back to the South Bay community and help our local schools,” said Dana MacKay, owner of Yogurtland South Bay. “We are especially excited about the new opportunity for the community to recognize the teachers this year.”
The Yogurtland South Bay family has locations in the Riviera Village in Redondo Beach, in the Manhattan Marketplace in Manhattan Beach, in Torrance Crossroads and Village del Amo in Torrance, and in Tarragona Plaza in San Pedro.
Yogurtland also offers additional ways to raise money for local school systems by offering patrons the option to participate in local school night fundraisers. During these events, Yogurtland donates a percentage of its proceeds to an area school or charity in an effort to give back to the community.
