Miyeko May Kawada, 85-year-old, born and resident of Los Angeles, who passed away on Nov. 25. In 2007 at age 80, “May san” retired after many years of work at Mitsuru Café, where she made many friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held on Dec. 7, Friday at 12 p.m. at Nichiren Buddhist Temple, 2801 E. Fourth Street, Los Angeles.
Predeceased by sons, Timothy Hideaki and Terry Kazuo Kawada.
She is survived by daughter, Jenny Mariko (Emile) Kawada-Mack; sons, Mark Hideo, Karl Akio, Quincy Hisao, Dean Takeo (Heather) Kawada; grandchildren, Thomas, William, Kimberly, Amanda, Tyler, Kyle, Michael Mack and Miya Kawada-Mack; two great-grandchildren; sister, Tomiko Iwaoka of Japan; also survived by many nephews, nieces and other relatives here and in Kumamoto of Japan.
