Mr. James Saburo Kitabayashi, 88, Los Angeles-born Nisei, resident of Monterey Park, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, at White Memorial Medical Center.
Private family funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rev. Dr. Richard Kuyama of Centenary United Methodist Church officiating.
He is survived by his loving wife, Setsuko Kitabayashi; brother, Shiro (Mary) Kitabayashi; sister, Takako Nishizawa; nephews, Don and Joey Kitabayashi; niece, Lynn (Mike) Hensley; grand-nephews, Griffin and Corbin Kitabayashi; grand-niece, Jennifer Lin; brother-in-law, Shigeaki Nozawa of Japan; and sister-in-law, Victoria Griffin; also survived by relatives here and in Japan.
