Sadao Hashiguchi, age 95, passed away on the morning of Dec. 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by parents Teiji and Hide Hashiguchi; brothers Noboru, Tsugio and Mitsuo Hashiguchi; and wife, Hisako. He was born in Los Angeles, was a World War II veteran and a member of the U.S. Army MIS. He was the senior produce manager for the Gelson’s supermarket chain.
He leaves sister-in-law, Eva Hashiguchi; nephews and nieces, Gene Hashiguchi, Ellen Hashiguchi, Beverly Kerecman, Don Hashiguchi, and Mark Hashiguchi; and many grand-nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will be held at the Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” 707 E. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90012, on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. A public viewing will be held before the service at 10 a.m. Officiant will be the Reverend Mark Nakagawa of Centenary United Methodist Church.
