A funeral service for Satoshi Ujiiye, 81-year-old, Kaneohe, Hawaii-born Nisei, who passed away on Jan. 2, 2013 in Placentia, Calif., will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Zenshuji Soto Mission, 123 Hewitt St., Los Angeles.

He is survived by his children, Amy Borden, Cyrus (Cindy) Ujiiye, Carol Ujiiye and Dora (Danny) Gao-Ay; four grandchildren; sisters, Tsuruko Takeuchi of Japan, and Ritsuko Frances Yanase; sisters-in-law, Shigeko Loretta Ujiiye and Masako Ujiiye; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in U.S. and Japan.
