Sho Ishino, son of Denki and Jie Ishino, departed his earthly home in Los Angeles, on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. He was born in San Jose, Calif. on Feb. 11, 1923. As the eldest son, he helped to take care of his 12 siblings. On Aug. 8, 1948, Sho married Dorothy (maiden name Aredas) in Los Angeles, where they remained to raise a family and retire. A private funeral service was held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the Memorial Chapel of Kubota Nikkei Mortuary.

Among those who survive Sho are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Ishino, his two sons, Mr. Dorson and Mr. Larry Ishino, Dorson’s wife, Chung Sook, his grandson, Mr. Chason Ishino and wife Erica, and his siblings, Mrs. Chiyo Kikkawa, Mrs. Seiko Shimatsu, Mr. Jerry Gokuye Ishino, Mrs. Kiyome Kim, and Mrs. Kimiko Contreras.
