A funeral service for Umeko “Ruth” Matsunaga, 92-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, who passed away on Jan. 30, 2013 in Los Angeles, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave. R.P.V., with Rev. Jim Miyabe from Venice Santa Monica Free Methodist Church officiating.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth K. (Heather) Matsunaga; siblings, Ayako Katayama and Hideo Watanabe, both of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives in the US and Japan.
