SAN DIEGO — Enjoy a free film and cheap eats on Sunday, April 21, at 12 noon at Buddhist Temple of San Diego, 2929 Market St. (at 29th Street), San Diego.

“A Boy and His Samurai,” an award-winning comedy/drama directed by Yoshihiro Nakamura, will be screened (in Japanese with English subtitles). In this family-friendly film, a 19th-century samurai appears in modern Tokyo, transforming the lives of a working mother and her adorable son.

BTSD proudly co-presented “A Boy and His Samurai” at the 2011 San Diego Asian Film Festival. Sunday’s screening is hosted by Zenbu, the temple’s social adjunct.
