SAN FRANCISCO — A JCHESS (Japantown Cultural Heritage and Economic Sustainability Strategy) property owners community meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St., San Francisco.
The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the revised Better Neighborhood Plan (BNP), now known as JCHESS, whose goals are to preserve, restore and enhance Japantown as a vital, prosperous and livable community that authentically reflects, embodies and continues its cultural heritage and history into the future.
Topics to be addressed include how the JCHESS is different from the BNP, the components of the JCHESS, and how the JCHESS will affect the Japantown property owner.
