A funeral service for Shizu Kato, 94-year-old, Los Angeles-born Nisei, who passed away on April 29, 2013 in Los Angeles, will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., RPV, with Rev. Edward Siebert officiating.

She is survived by her children, Norman Toshio (Gay) Kato, Marilyn Nami Kobayashi and Nadine Kayo (Rodney) Yamane; six grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Kazuko Kato and Kimi Iwahashi, the latter of Tokyo, Japan; brothers-in-law, Shuji Uyematsu of Watsonville, Calif., and Mas Hitomi; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
