Members of Paso De Oro Ballet Folklorico perform for the crowds who attended Matsuri of Faith, hosted by Faith United Methodist Church in Torrance on May 18. Entertainment on the stage was diverse, including hula, traditional Japanese dance, gospel singing, a jazz ensemble and more, concluding with a song by the Faith UMC combined choir that was to be recorded and shared with victims of the 2011 tsunami in the hopes that will bring a light of joy to the brothers and sisters in Japan.Shoppers looking for bargains in plants, vegetables and fruits were not disappointed — there was an abundance to be found.Volunteers staff the “Faithwear” store, which offered clothing and accessories created by church members.
