SAN MATEO — A Kimochi San Mateo benefit dinner will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. in the Bayview Dining Room at the College of San Mateo, 1700 W. Hillsdale Blvd., San Mateo.
San Francisco-based Kimochi Inc. will share plans for its new facility in San Mateo County, which will introduce Kimochi’s Japanese tradition of care to the Peninsula. It is scheduled to open in the summer of 2014.
Kimochi San Mateo is located at 453 N. San Mateo Dr. in San Mateo. An open house will be held on Sunday, July 21, and Sunday, Aug. 25, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Free summer presentations will be given at the San Mateo site on the last Thursday of each month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The topic on July 25 will be “Brain Fitness for Older Adults”; the topic on Aug 29 will be “Nutrition: Getting the Most Out of Your Daily Diet.”
