Funeral services for the late Marie Chikami will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park, Hillside Chapel on Friday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. Reverend Kenneth Suhr, Faith United Methodist Church of Torrance, officiating.
Born Marie Hatada on April 2, 1922 in Long Beach, Calif., she passed away on Aug. 11, 2013. She is survived by her son Gary; brother Saburo (Tazu) Hatada; sisters-in-law Setsu Hatada, Riyo Chikami and Kinu Chikami; brother-in-law Harry Yoshimura and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Shigeru, and her son Wayne.
