Chiyoko Tanimoto, age 81, born in Dominguez Hills, Calif., resident of Gardena, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. She is predeceased by beloved husband, Nobuyuki Frank Tanimoto; survived by her beloved children, Carolyn (Darrin), Robert and Sandra (Brandon), and grandchildren, Ryan, Bethany, David and Christian; brothers, Sadao (Yuri), Mas (Taeko), and Tosh; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Public funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. at Gardena Valley Baptist Church, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA 90247. The family requests casual attire.
