A private memorial service for Daniel “Gash” Osami Mizukami, 83-year-old, Los Angeles, Calif.-born Nisei, who passed away on Sept. 4, 2013, was held on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Venice Santa Monica Free Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Alyce; children, Russell and Joy (Wes) Takahashi; grandchildren, Kara (Paul) Huang, Courtney (Taylor) Gavin, Kaitlin (Kevin) Quon; great-grandchildren, Elise and Claire Huang; siblings, Satoru, Mako (Mildred), and Shigeru Mizukami and Aico Okabe; brother-in-law, Bobby Matsunaga; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
