John Takeshi Sangen, 89-year-old San Pedro-born resident of Monterey Park, passed away on Sept 24, 2013. Private services were held on Oct 4 at Rose Hills Memorial Park. He is predeceased by his loving wife Yuriko (Tanji) and survived by daughter Christi (Mel) Shibuya, sons David (Jocelyn) and Dan, along with brother Haruo and grandchildren Deborah, Andrea and Aiden.
