L.A. Daiku will present “An Autumn Harvest of Choral Music” on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 4:30 p.m. at Los Angeles Union Church, 401 E. Third St. (at San Pedro Street) in Little Tokyo.

The concert will consist of “Ave Maria” by Arcadelt, “Ave Verum Corpus” by Mozart, “Kojo no Tsuki,” “Hamabe no Uta,” “Shenandoah,” “O Waly Waly,” “Gloria” by Vivaldi, and “Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9.

Officially established in September 2009, L.A. Daiku is dedicated to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (Daiku in Japanese) and other choral music. With Jeffrey Bernstein of Pasadena Master Chorale as its music director and conductor, the group has weekly rehearsals at the Hollywood Japanese Cultural Institute.
