linsanity graphicMONTEREY PARK — Were you caught up in the Jeremy Lin craze that swept the nation a little over two years ago, when he took the NBA by storm during his short stint with the New York Knicks?

A group of friends have been following the whole “Linsanity” phenomenon since he was in college and have produced a documentary film on his rise to fame. The documentary has made its rounds through various film festivals and is now being noticed on a national scale.

“Linsanity” will be screening this weekend, Oct. 4-6, at the AMC Atlantic Times Square 14, 450 N. Atlantic Blvd. in Monterey Park, and the Budokan of Los Angeles project is helping to promote the film and also highlight an Asian American sports role model.

The Budokan project has purchased a limited number of discounted tickets ($10, normally $12) for the 4:15 p.m. showing on Saturday, Oct. 5. Also, at the screening, one of the producers will be present to take part in a brief Q&A session with those in attendance.

If you are interested in purchasing tickets, contact Kim Kawasaki at (213) 473-1619 or send an email to kkawasaki@LTSC.org.
