A private graveside funeral service for Sumiko Okimoto, 87-year-old, Hiroshima, Japan-born Issei, who passed away on Oct. 2, 2013 in Los Angeles, was held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at Inglewood Park Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Pisano from South Valley Church officiating.

She is survived by her children, Ted (Sharon) Okimoto, Sachie Okimoto, Noritaka (Ling Ling) Okimoto, Kazumi (Keith) Sawa and Dr. Tom Okimoto; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
