The UCLA Asian American Studies Center will hold its annual awards and alumni reception on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the UCLA Faculty Center’s California Room, 480 Charles E. Young Drive West (on the corner of Hilgard Avenue and Westholme Boulevard), Los Angeles.
Student awardees of the 2013-14 AASC grants, fellowships, scholarships and academic prizes will be honored.
Professor Renee Tajima-Peña, holder of the Alumni and Friends of Japanese American Ancestry Endowed Chair, will be welcomed along with endowment representatives Herb Kawahara, Minoru Tonai and Ruth Watanabe.
