SAN FRANCISCO — “Hana wa Saku” (Flowers Will Bloom) is the charity song produced by NHK, Japan’s national public broadcasting organization, to support recovery efforts from March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami in northeastern Japan.

Koto master Miki Maruta arranged this song for koto ensemble. Shoko Hikage and her koto studio members will share this arrangement with the public to support Japan’s continuing recovery efforts.

They will also perform works by Tadao Sawai, Hyo-shin Na and Maruta along with guest koto players Yuki Yasuda from Sawai Koto Institute in Los Angeles and Brian Mitsuhiro Wong from Sawai Koto Institute and more.

The concert will take place Saturday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Koret Auditorium in the Main Library, 100 Larkin St. in the Civic Center.
