More than 100 people attended the annual Little Tokyo Health Fair on Nov. 2 at Union Church in Little Tokyo. Local residents and other community members came to receive free body mass index measurements (pictured), flu shots, blood pressure screenings, dental check-ups, podiatric examinations, glucose screenings and more. Participating organizations and businesses included USC Ostrow School of Dentistry, UCLA Asian Pacific Health Corp, and Kyodo Pharmacy. Registered nurses and doctors were also on hand to provide basic reviews of each attendee’s health assessment while staff and volunteers from Little Tokyo Service Center provided translation in Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
