Orange County was well represented at the 2013 Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade in New York City on Nov. 28, as three girls were among the more than 200 invited as members of a national jump rope team.
Lauren Wada (above left), Hallie Kaichi (center) and Natalie Ozawa (right) are members of the Jumping Coyotes in OC, and they joined elite jumpers from across the country, marching and hopping the length of the parade route and performing at the reviewing stand (pictured below, from NBC Television).
The weather was a frigid 30 degrees, but the girls reported the trip being a “once-in-a-lifetime” experience.
