slanted comedySAN FRANCISCO — Cobb’s Comedy Club, 915 Columbus Ave., San Francisco, will present “Slanted Comedy,” featuring Walter Hong, Eli Nicholas, Danny Cho and KT Tatara, on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 8 p.m.

“Slanted Comedy” (www.SlantedComedyTour.com) is the longest-running premier Asian comedy show on the scene today. It was first introduced at the Hollywood Improv on Sept. 1, 2005 by Edwin San Juan, and the reins have been handed over to executive producer Mike Abara, a.k.a. Black Mike.

“Slanted Comedy” brings you a showcase of Asian comics with a long list of credits from Comedy Central, BET, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Showtime, HBO, “The Late Late Show,” “Lopez Tonight,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and the list just keeps on growing. Numerous celebrities have also dropped in and performed at “Slanted Comedy” shows.

Current producing partners Abara and Walter Hong want to let everyone know that Asians are funny and talented too; Asians need their night of live comedy and it is finally here. But all in all, this show was made for everyone.

Admission s $15. Must be 18 or over with valid photo ID. There is a two-drink minimum per person. Cameras and video/audio recording devices are not permitted. All non-headliner shows’ lineups are subject to change.
