HONOLULU — In recognition of Civil Liberties and the Constitution Day, the King Kamehameha V Judiciary History Center and the Hawaii State Bar Association Civic Education Committee present “Undaunted Courage and Civil Liberties” on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Ali’iolani Hale, 417 S. King St.

Eric K. Yamamoto, Fred T. Korematsu Professor of Law and Social Justice, will honor civil rights hero Fred Korematsu (1919-2005) on what would have been his 95th birthday.

Sabrina S. McKenna, Hawaii Supreme Court associate justice, reflects on the life of Rep. Patsy Takemoto Mink (1927-2002), a trailblazer for women’s rights.

Mark E. Recktenwald, Hawaii Supreme Court chief justice, will give welcoming remarks.

John R. Egan, immigration attorney and migration counsel, will discuss the 2012 deferred action childhood arrivals.
