LA JOLLA — Miranda Seto scored a game-high 19 points and UC San Diego closed the game on a 12-4 run, to earn a victory Saturday night over No. 21 Chico State, 76-65.

Erin Dautremont recorded a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Stephanie Yano added six points with five assists.
UCSD improves to 7-3 overall and 4-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, while Chico State falls to 6-4 overall and 2-4 in CCAA play.
The Tritons finished 47.1 percent from the floor on 24-of-51 shooting and made 6-of-15 attempts from behind the arc. UCSD also converted on 22 of 28 shots from the free-throw line on the night. The Triton defense held Chico State to 38.9 percent from the field on 21- of-54 attempts. The Wildcats only converted on 4-of-22 shots (18.2 percent) from three-point range.
The rebounding battle was won in favor of UCSD, 38-29, and both teams scored 30 points in the paint.
The Tritons continue their five-game homestand with two more CCAA contests this week. UCSD faces Cal State East Bay on Friday, Jan. 10, and Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, Jan. 11. Both games are slated for 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
