Funeral services for the late Mr. George Matsumoto, a Calexico, Calif.-born Nisei resident of Gardena, veteran of the U.S. Army, who served his country honorably during WWII, will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Karen Fay Ramos-Young of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Mr. Matsumoto was predeceased by his beloved wife Emiko. Proud father of Glenn (Josephine) and Gary Matsumoto, Elaine (Steven) Masuo and Gail (Karl) Phillips. Devoted grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by many other family members.
