Private graveside services for the late Joe Tadao Takayama, 96- year-old, California-born resident of Torrance, who passed away on Dec. 29, 2013 at his residence, were held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Green Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Nobuo Miyaji of Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn Takayama, Linda Yim, Karen (John) Hopkins; granddaughter, Alison Yim; grandsons, Brandon Yim, Christopher and Travis Hopkins; sisters, Ruth Oda, Alyce Shinmoto and Mae Shishido; 13 nephews and 14 nieces.
