
The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center has announced the lineup for “Live at the Aratani! 2014.”

• Willie K on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 7:30 p.m. Following his concert launching the “Live at the Aratani” series last year, Hawaii’s famed guitarist, vocalist and songwriter returns. From traditional and contemporary Hawaiian to blues and rock, Willie Kahaiali’i has done it all and done it well.
• Tierra on Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. Known for their dedication and commitment to bringing smooth and soulful sounds to audiences worldwide, Tierra has been named “Best R&B Vocal Group” by four leading magazines, including Billboard. The band started its career in East L.A. with a blend of rock, pop, jazz, R&B and salsa.
Special guest Little Willie G, the original voice of The Midnighters, will serve it up hot. According to Rolling Stone magazine, “Little Willie G is considered to be the best singer to come out of East L.A. and has one of the most soulful voices in the world today”.
Special guest Richard Bean is a former member of the American Latin rock and funk group Malo and Latin soul rock group Sapo. He returns with soulful classics such as “Suavecito,” “Ritmo del Corazon,” and the salsa-flavored “Sapo Montuno.”
• Society of Seven on Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. Voted Hawaii’s best and America’s premier show group, SOS delivers an outstanding show filled with amazing vocals, brilliant comedy and infectious joy. This talented ensemble warms up the room with their love for entertaining.
“Live at the Aratani” is produced and directed by Ishibashi/Stonebridge.
Individual tickets for the series are $40/$50 general, $37/$47 for JACCC members. Group sales and series subscriptions are available. All ticket sales are final; no refunds or exchanges.
