Yoto Bob Takeshita passed away on Dec. 18, 2013 at the age of 84. He was the loving husband of Naomi Goto Takeshita; and the father of David, Craig, and Bill Takeshita. Born in Coronado, Calif. to Ikuyo and Mine Takeshita, he was the brother of Hide (Jane), Akira (Helen), Sam (Shizue), and Shinobu (Pat) Takeshita. Bob was interned at Poston, Ariz. during World War II and he settled in Sylmar, Calif., where he started Oriental Gardens Nursery. Bob enjoyed creating bonsai, watching all sports, and spending time with his grandchildren Kelley, Tracey, Jaymie and Brett Takeshita. Bob requested that there be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Roze Room Hospice of the Valley, Sherman Oaks, Calif.
