PACOIMA — The Nikkei Federation and the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center are hosting the first Community Center Forum of 2014 on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the SFVJACC, 12953 Branford St., Pacoima. Registration begins at 9 a.m.
The topic will be “Programming for our Future.” Participants will discuss such challenges as community demographics, cultural values, declining memberships, philanthropy, and interest in Japanese culture and language
The forum will also include a tour of the SFVJACC, a talk on the Tuna Canyon Detention Station, and an optional tour of Nikkei Senior Gardens.
