The L.A. Kimono Beauty Academy will present a kimono modeling show on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Little Tokyo Branch of the L.A. Public Library, 203 S. Los Angeles St.

The event will include a guest speaker from the Tohoku region, which was hit by an earthquake and tsunami nearly three years ago; an obi-tying demonstration; tango and hip-hop dance performances; shigin (traditional poetry recitation); Japanese folk tales; and complimentary Japanese snacks.
