Funeral service for Sam Yutaka Suyenaga, 91, a Marysville, Calif.-born Nisei who passed away peacefully at his residence in Cerritos on Feb. 3, will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m. at Fukui Mortuary Chapel, 707 E Temple St., Los Angeles, with Rimban William Briones of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Aki; sons, Dan, Chris and Gregg (Debbie) Suyenaga; daughter, Cindy (Dr. Ken) Iwaki; grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Iwaki and Russell and Victoria Suyenaga; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
