A Celebration of Life Service for the late Mr. Ben Kazuo Matsumoto, an 89-year-old, California-born Nisei and long-time resident of Pasadena and former internee of Jerome Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away on the morning of February 7, 2014, will be held on Saturday, March 15, 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Altadena, 2775 Lincoln Ave., Altadena, CA 91001. Ben was the devoted husband of his beloved wife of 66 years, Edna Uyeno Matsumoto, loving father of Doreen (Robert) Ono, and Donna (Brian) Wakano, proud grandfather of Evan Wakano, caring brother of Lily Ikeda. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ben will always be remembered as a gentleman who captured you with his sincerity and engaging smile. We will miss hearing him say, “Top of the Morning!”
