Kazuo Maeda, the son of Kumajira and Satoki Maeda, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2014 at the age of 96. He was born on April 3, 1917 in Carpenteria, Calif., and had been a long-time resident of Gardena. Kazuo is survived by his loving daughters, Akiko Maeda, Machiko Hashimoto and Eiko Tsuno; grandchildren, Emi Uehara, Naomi Omata, Kanami Tsuno, Kaori Hashimoto, Alex Poltash and Allison Poltash; and 6 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park.
