“Slanted Comedy” is the longest running premier Asian comedy show on the scene today. It was first introduced at the Hollywood Improv on Sept. 1, 2005 by Edwin San Juan, and the reins had been handed over to executive producer Mike Abara, aka Black Mike.

“Slanted Comedy” showcases comics with a long list of credits from Comedy Central, BET, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” Showtime, HBO, “The Late Late Show,” “Lopez Tonight,” “Last Call with Carson Daly,” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” to name a few. Numerous celebrities have also dropped in and performed at “Slanted Comedy” shows.

Current producing partners Abara and Hong want to let everyone know that Asians are funny and talented, too. Asians need their night of live comedy, and it is finally here. All in all, this show was made for everyone. If you have not checked out a “Slanted Comedy” show, you don‘t know what you’re missing.

Admission: $20. Must be 18 or over with valid photo ID. Two-drink minimum per person. Cameras and video/audio recording devices not permitted. All non-headliner shows’ lineups subject to change.
