SAN FRANCISCO — A TEDxPeacePlazaLive event will be held Tuesday, March 18, at the Hotel Kabuki, Post and Laguna streets in San Francisco Japantown, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is free, but advance ticket reservations are required due to limited seating.
TEDxPeacePlaza will present a simulcast of TED2014 and will also feature several original pre-recorded video talks addressing the theme of “Collaborating for Community Growth.”
The talks will feature speakers actively engaged in connecting various elements of their communities across organizational and generational lines to address community needs of preserving legacies, empowering individuals, and sustaining support from members of the community.
The speakers will present novel ideas and methods that illustrate how connecting individuals and organizations in the community can generate new opportunities and possibilities for the community to flourish.

This marks TED’s 30th anniversary, and the theme for TED2014 is simply this: “The Next Chapter.” The goal is to understand what are truly the most significant developments of the last 30 years, and applying that knowledge to understand what’s ahead.
