Masaru “Tom” Yonemura was born on May 29, 1928. He died peacefully on April 2, 2014, at Creekside Hospice Inpatient Care Center in Las Vegas, Nev. Viewing was held at Affordable Cremation & Burial Chapel on April 5, 2014. Tom is survived by his wife, Yuko Yonemura; and children Tom (Patti) Yonemura, Jr., Kathy (Tom Jono), Tim Yonemura Chris Yonemura; and stepdaughter, Ann English.
Tom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Yonemura, started ABC Nursery, a retail nursery in Gardena, which is a continuing business as a wholesale company. Tom served in the Army, was active with the VFW Post and JCI in Gardena. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, visiting his favorite casinos in Vegas, and being with around his family. He leaves six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He leaves siblings George (Jean) Yonemura, Harry(Judy) Yonemura and Susan (Jay) Ohara.
A Celebration of Life memorial will be held on May 10, 2014 at the JCI in Gardena starting at 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
