SAN FRANCISCO — Sunday, May 11, is Kimono Day in San Francisco Japantown’s Japan Center on Post and Webster streets.
Enjoy Mother’s Day shopping and dining in Japantown wearing kimono with special discounts at participating shops and restaurants.
Japantown Kimono Day starts at 10:30 a.m. with a special cultural workshop. From 3 to 3:30 p.m., Hiroko Sato will demonstration various methods of tying an obi (sash or belt).
The front desk and performance place are located on the second floor of Kinokuniya Building.
