SAN FRANCISCO — A community discussion on the sale of the Hotel Kabuki and other key properties that are up for sale in Japantown will be held on Monday, June 16, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Issei Memorial Hall of the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St., San Francisco.

These properties represent significant businesses in the community that bring over 100,000 visitors, consumers and tourists to Japantown each year.

Topics for discussion at the meeting, which is open to the public, include:

• The new owner of the Hotel Kabuki, Blackstone Estate Advisors, and their plans to keep the Japanese theme/name.

• The importance of the hotel to the local economy.

• Other commercial property listings within the community, such as 1746 Post St., currently the New People building, and 1800 Sutter St., currently Hotel Tomo.
