
TORRANCE — The Japanese American Historical Society of Southern California (JAHSSC), Friends of Manzanar National Historic Site and Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation will present “Camp Pilgrimages” on Saturday, June 21, 1 to 3 p.m., at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library, 3301 Torrance Blvd., Torrance.
Panelists will speak about their experiences, including the history, significance and future of pilgrimages. Speaking for Manzanar are Rose Ochi and Mas Okui; for Heart Mountain, speakers are Bacon Sakatani and Darrell Kunitomi. Sharon Yamato, writer and filmmaker, will moderate.
Excerpts from Tadashi Nakamura’s documentary “Pilgrimage” will be shown.
