Shizuko Uchida of Gilroy, Calif., passed away peacefully at the age of 86 on July 8, 2014. She was the wife of the late Zenichiro Uchida of Kagoshima. She is survived by her children Seiichiro (Makiko) Uchida and Tomiko (Masatoshi) Takeda; grandchildren Yukari (Ansel) Shaw, Sayako Uchida, Jeff Uchida, Cliff Uchida, Michiko (Hy) Quach, Emiko (David) Minami, Toshitaka (Jackie) Takeda, and Masaki (Kristy) Takeda; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Buddhist Temple of Salinas.
